Very disappointed in finding out that I need a front facing camera to use incident mode after I purchased the app. Lame

I really LOVE the retro styling and function, meter so very simple to use. I just wonder if for future updates if ISO ring can be locked so it doesnt rotate at the same time an F stop is changed. Other than that, perfect! The instructions are very well written and easy to understand, overall a real pleasure to use with ANY camera, not just film cameras. Great job!!!!

I say "garbage" because the app locks up after 1 use. I have written the authors several times about the issue and all they say is "Uninstall it an reinstall it." They apparently have no incentive to fix it because theyve already gotten our money. I have finally decided to uninstall it and leave it uninstalled. WHen it works (once) its nice. But having to uninstall and re-install is just poor design, development and support if you ask me.

Good app and great price. Wish it also read the contrast in a scene, showed history, color balance, lux and had a quick formula for guide numbers to use flash at certain distance. But then it would replace my Sekonic Meter.

Needs a way to turn off sounds entirely. The controls have a novel look to them but are hard to adjust quickly. Drop the snazzy UI, kill the sounds, and enlarge the image used for the sampling and Id give this app a 4 or 5.

Nice work you guys. Great and handy tool. I only wish for a scratch and sniff version of the leather pouch. Which makes as about much sense as the inane negative reviews some people leave. Good interface. Readings match my Sekonic 328 pretty well. Certainly within tolerance. Its handy to have and, for the dollar US being charged, cant be beat. Wish list? Spot meter, if at all possible. Maybe a quick look of the video, then touch the area of interest for the reading and back to the meter reading. Nifty. Thanks for making this. Good luck in the future.

Nevertheless i rated it 5 stars because of how beautifully it was executed

the little window for the area that is metered has a "window glazing" effect that gets in the way of the view. this unnessary "effect" is annoying and I dont like to be anoyed by my equipment! Id pass and look for another meter!

This is a VERY pretty app but difficult to use quickly when its working well. Unfortunately, that isnt much of the time. On my iPad the aperture ring often freezes, rendering the app useless. No updates since January; save your 99 cents.

The app keeps crashing on my iPhone 4S with iOS6.... Please fix!!!

Saves me the burden of carrying around independent light meter.

I was hoping someone would make this app for a while. I like to keep my manual rangefinder by my side for street photos. Its perfect to have a phone based meter that I can get an incident reading and then set my camera before raising it to my eye. Super useful and hundreds less than my handheld meter. I would love to see a spotmeter version in the future maybe.

This app is not worth paying for. There are better, more functional meters for free that are actually readable. Try using this app when the light is rapidly changing with a bulkier camera - its slow and ridiculous. Dont buy.

Everything works well except the fact that the camera is set for the front of the phone and not the back. I cant change it. If Im taking a picture Id like the reading in front of me and not for myself.

First of all, the little preview window is ridiculous, its too small, i think an interface like the one found in "light meter" should be an option so that the image window is adequate! Why the heck is there a little glare across half the window like done on some apps? that is horrible when there is an incredibly small window and then you glare up half of it! Also, the iso dial freezes up from time to time. I paid money for an app that is poorly designed in some aspects.

Would love to use this app. Unfortunately it crashes every time I open it.
